With 17+ years of experience providing individual, couples and family counseling, Meghan Reitz is a counselor with extensive skills across a wide range of issues, concerns and modalities. Meghan works with adults, children, teens and couples to provide mental health counseling and relationship therapy.
Meghan has provided services across a wide range of therapy settings including residential treatment centers, mental health hospitals, government social services, therapeutic day schools and private practice. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa and her graduate degree from Bradley University and is also a Level 2 trained Gottman Therapist for relationship counseling. Meghan is licensed in the state of Illinois as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors as a National Certified Counselor (NCC).
Clients find Meghan to be personable, empathetic and enjoyable to work with. She uses CBT and many other therapy approaches to meet you where you are on your mental health journey. She will help you develop coping skills, life skills, facilitate communication, and guide you through your counseling sessions as a partner in the process.
Meghan began MLRA Counseling in the northwest suburbs 10 years ago with a mission to make getting good counseling easy and has now expanded to Chicago in the Lincoln park neighborhood. Meghan also speaks regularly at schools and businesses about a variety of mental health topics.
Meghan is a member of the American Counseling Association, the Illinois Counseling Association, Illinois Mental Health Counselors Association, Chi Sigma Iota (Counseling Fraternity), and Phi Kappa Phi (Honors Fraternity).
